“ The prices were reasonable, the quail egg and shrimp were my fav! The lot is easy to miss Off of Garfield, so drive carefully and look for the christmassy lights in the back of the parking lot. A novelty experience and I did mine carry out. Tasty and fun! ”
“ Great restaurant, don't pretend to be something it's not. 4.5 star. 0.5 off for the karaoke that you have to endure sometimes. The 疙瘩汤 is a hidden gem ”
“ Hit up this spot on a Tuesday night after a concert and loved that they are open past midnight. When you walk in, you are greeted by a vibrant atmosphere with colorful LED lights and immersive landscapes projected across the walls. Fun spot to chill and catch up with friends. Plus, each table gets a free polaroid and karaoke song! We ordered the beef, lamb, chicken skin, and squid skewers. Everything was tender and flavorful except the chicken skin, which was a bit tough and salty. Don't forget to Yelp check-in for a free soda! ”
“ Nestled in the corner of a shopping plaza in Monterey Park, Xinjiang BBQ is an unassuming restaurant that draws quite a crowd. We had to put our name on the Yelp waiting list, and there was almost always a line. Inside, the restaurant features a 360-degree video display of live scenes from Xinjiang, China. While the constantly moving walls made me a bit dizzy, it added an authentic touch to the ambiance. The food was the highlight of our visit. We ordered mutton and beef skewers, as well as octopus, and they were all delicious, reminiscent of the flavors we experienced in China. Although traveling to Xinjiang isn't easy for us as foreigners, we had the chance to sample Xinjiang cuisine in Beijing, which is why we were excited to see fried shredded potato on the menu here. They were crispy and tasty, just as we remembered. As an older couple, we felt a bit out of place among the younger crowd, but the food made it worth it. Xinjiang BBQ is definitely a spot for young people, but anyone who appreciates good food will enjoy it. ”
“ 4 5 stars Get: beef and lamb skewers for sure. Chicken heart and gizzard. Cucumber salad, eggplant w/ garlic. Get if you like: chicken gristle (I really like this but some may find texture off-putting), sweet vinegar shoestring fries (if you like salt & vinegar stuff, you'll like it), whole squid (it's good for the price but isn't roasted, just saucy) Don't get: pork intestine (roasted/dried to smithereens, very crunchy ~ but no flavor) I like this place's overall balance of food, atmosphere, and price. Ordering from the QR makes it seamless, the dim LED lighting makes it easy on your eyes, the chairs have soft padding with pillows for your back, and it's easy to call for service since it's a small dining area. This place is an equivalent to Korean Soju bars of Ktown but Xinjiang-style in SGV. Beers are $4 per bottle and Soju is $12, much cheaper drinks and food than Ktown. Nothing over $20 here, but if you get hungry, the skewer sticks will pile up. This place is cheaper than skewers down the street ~ T-Kebob, Charcoal Grill, etc., the prices and amount of meat per skewer is greater, and it tastes better too! ”
